Self-confidence is having trust in yourself. Believe that you are capable of start and finish what you decide to do. It is holding yourself in a positive regard even when things don’t go according to plan. A low self-confidence is derived from how others think of you, while a high self-confidence comes from within you.

Self-confidence is the ultimate solution for life happiness. To build your confidence you have to work on your self-esteem, which is about knowing and loving yourself. You need to know your strengths and weaknesses to develop an internal sense of worth.

Confidence is not motivation but it play an important role on how you perceive your capabilities. Lack of self-confidence and self-esteem has a great effect on your interest and enthusiasm. The lack of self-confidence has been demonstrated to be the base of how you strive to accomplish goals and improve life performance.

Some people self-evaluate themselves depending how well they makes decisions. But to me the best ways to measure your confidence is to pay attention to your behaviors. Try to measure your behaviors from 1 to 10 on the following questions.

How well do you maintain eye contact?

How easy it is for you to be among people?

Do you do nervous gestures when around people?

Do you Sweat or blushing when among people?

Etc…

I can write more questions, but I think you get the point.

Remember confidence is way more than feeling good about yourself. Confidence gives you the ability to act on opportunity and make the right choice to live a better life and grow a bigger bank account.

1-    Practice Daily Self-Love

This is a simple self-confidence booster technique that will only take a minute of you day to accomplish.

  • Practice facial feedback hypothesis. This method involves in forcing yourself to smile until you get emotionally influenced and end up smiling naturally.

 

  • Use affirmations. Stand in front of the mirror and repeat I like myself for about 5 times while looking into your eyes.

 

  • Forgive yourself. Say some forgiveness phrases to yourself early in the morning. Say something like, I know I have done…. But I will give myself another chance today.

2-    Embrace Your Confident Body Language

Your confident body language can play a key role in increasing your confidence.

  • Practice Proper Posture. Standing or sitting straight with your shoulders back and your head held up, this nonverbally act reflects your confidence to yourself and others. Regardless of your height when your held in a straight posture you’ll look confidence and in control.

 

  • Hand Gestures. The position, movement, and the relaxation of your hand can change your perceived confidence. Avoid putting your hands in your pockets, because this communicate that you lack confidence, or you’re not interested.

Your negative results are direct reflect of your low self-confidence thinking. As a human you are prompt to focus on the traits and characteristics that you lack. A better way to improve your confidence is to reverse the thinking and focus on traits and characteristics that you possess.

Remind yourself everything that is going well and the thigs that has worked for you in the past is a great way to boost your self-esteem and build momentum.

Remember the rudest critics comes from yourself.

Cognitive Behavioral therapy is one of the most effective ways to train your brain to question your inner critic. Your inner critic can become brutal and lead you develop an extremely low self-esteem—this behavior had put people into addition and even suicide.

4-    Stop Comparing Yourself To Others

Many people fall into the trap of mimic others. This is a terrible idea and the one that will get your confidence no where but worst. The reason for this is very simple, we are all different and unique—what makes you happy probably won’t make your best friend happy. The things you love to do many people will find them boring.

You must need to embrace your own opinion and the opinions of others to be happy and be a confident person. That’s it! That is the secret to happiness and life success.

5-    Overcome Your Perfectionism

Perfectionism is probably the biggest self-confidence destroyer most people face. I know everyone (or a least most of us) want to things right, but those who look to get things perfect don’t get much done.

Your low self-esteem won’t let you to do a thing. You always will be concerned about everything you do. And you always will find defects and reasons for the things you do not being good enough to you and to others.

You must learn to do things at the best of your ability and with your best intention and call it good- and move on.

Have you ever hear that “it’s better to be alone than with the wrong person.” Your friendships are affecting your confidence. The people around you are either adding or subtracting to your quality of life. Your must identify who do what to your life.

You see, most people don’t even think of this and the friends around us are one of the biggest influencers to our quality of our life. Start surrounding yourself with the people can add up to your confidence.

9-Take Care Of Yourself

Implementing an effective self-care routine will boost your confidence to the roof. One of the signals of low self-confidence is lack of self-care. There’re different types of self-care, but the ones that most affect your confidence are physical self-care and mental self-care.

Physical self-care is fundamental to increase your self-confidence. The way you maintain can break or boost your confidence. For many the pounds on the scale can determine how confident they are feeling.

Mental self-care is the most important. To gain your confidence you must have full control of your mind. Exercise and meditation can help you improving and keeping your mind sharp.

10- Celebrate Small Victories

Small victories are easy to forget to celebrate. If you get in the habit to celebrate every little win your self-esteem will improve drastically. The psychology behind this is your mind. Your mind will get into the habit to win and wining equal happiness and feeling more confident.

11- Practice Gratitude

You can get much more out of life if you can dedicate a minute of your day to be grateful. Everyone have plenty reasons to be grateful for and I’m sure you are not the exception.

Find at least three things to be grateful every morning before starting your day. This will help you to clear your mind, improve awareness, and eventually improve your mood and confidence.
