Self-confidence provides some easy to understand common sense advice towards a very complex discussion. In the day to day, most of get consumed in the stream of life. The author does a good job of picking out things that seem easy, but sometimes need concentration, simple stuff like, smile, have good posture, eat well, speak to others well, have gratitude towards life. It all intertwines with self-confidence. I appreciated the sections around a great mental start and being aware of perception with others. The book hits a lot of good points that would be good for anyone struggling with or building self-esteem for their confidence.

I received a free copy of the book for an honest review .I enjoy the various steps and concepts applied to gain total confidence. I have read the same information in other self-help book in the past but this book explains things much better. The author challenges the reader to be accountable and help improve your life and teaches you how to live. Healthy self-confidence happens only when we practice over and over and this author gets that point across!

  5. JBM

This book delves deep into our modern lifestyle and relies on time-tested tools to help people with their self-confidence. It delves into the internal and seemingly, eternal debate to be better to convince ourselves to fight against a lack of confidence and what factors want, can, and do drag us down. It is a great book to practice discipline in self-worth. A good read indeed!

  6. W.B. Lee

This is less a self-help book, and more like CBT that’s applied to every day life to boost your confidence, happiness, and joy. The author goes into small, easily accessible tips and tricks of things to do that help you to feel happier and better in your life every day – every second, really. It’s impressive and thoughtfully done.

Whenever I used to hear the words “self-esteem” or “self-confidence,” it usually conjured up the image of an overused cliche by motivational speakers at seminars. After I read this book, I gained a newer understanding of what it meant. This book gave me greater analysis of how so many problems in our lives are caused by the careless thoughts we think or the careless words we say. It also spoke to me personally. This book covered everything. Much of the reason why so many people are negative and miserable is not just because of the way they think or talk. Much of it has to do with a lack of self-discipline. Sometimes people spend too much of their time indulging in politics or reality TV. Sometimes people are not eating the right foods, oftentimes we are not getting enough sleep. This can have a great impact our mental state and emotions.I am so glad I found this book. I breezed through it in just little over an hour and thirty minutes, but I was able to absorb as much information as I would get from spending a few hours at a motivational seminar. The concept of thinking positively has been understood for thousands of years, and can be summed up in the words, “As a man thinks in his heart, so is he” (Proverbs 23:7).

This author breaks down the factors that drive our self-esteem – both the internal and external factors. When our esteem is low, we struggle to analyze the root cause of it. It’s ironic because far too many people can’t do any self-reflection but people with low esteems all they do is self-reflect and often times it is a delusional self-reflection in which they put all the blame on themselves as to why nothing goes right. This author gets you back on track.Raphael Dume tells his readers in such a beautiful fashion that “Bеliеving in уоurѕеlf аnd rесоgnizing that уоu аrе worthy оf imроrtаnсе is thе true еѕѕеnсе оf ѕеlf соnfidеnсе.” You can tell this author genuinely wants to uplift others. I think my favorite section was the one on “Be grateful”.

  9. Chymeron

This book offers clear, concise, distinct steps and methods of improving your self-esteem and self-confidence, and the advice and suggestions make a lot of sense. I like how the author included attitude, food, water, exercise and sleep as factors affecting self-confidence, as I have personal real-life experience that this is true. I would recommend this book to anyone who is struggling with low-self esteem and wanting to boost their self-confidence.

  10. Linda

This book covered everything, so much so, that I felt concentrating on a few methods of improving one’s self esteem and self confidence to be the best approach before moving on to another way to improve. I see this book as one which should be referenced often. Every suggestion is worthy of application. I would definitely recommend this book for those struggling with negativity, low self-esteem, and low self-confidence.
